communal oven

I love this story from Villa San Sebastiano in Abruzzo (east of Rome) where Lucia Tellone has restarted the town’s communal oven.

That bread looks rustic!

The full article is here: espressione24.it/si-riaccende-il-forno-di-villa-san-sebastiano-e-si-rinnova-il-miracolo-del-pane-e-della-condivisione/. The headline is more or less You relight the village oven and you renew the miracle of bread and of sharing”.

Am hoping to visit this summer and ferment and bake some bread there.

Now if only I can find Coventry’s communal oven …
