The ultimate aim of the baker is not the baking of bread, but the bringing together of people and the nourishing of relationships.

The more bread I bake the more deeply I believe in this idea. That bread is not only a means to stay connected to our bodies through craft, but that it is a simple and direct form of communion with others.
